Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions govern your use of SKIPPD (provided by Bytellar), including account access, lecture recording, transcription, boardwork recognition, AI-generated key points and flashcards, review scheduling, and study history tools.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account, signing in, or using SKIPPD, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. Description of Service

SKIPPD provides AI-assisted study tools built around your own classes, including:

• Lecture recording and speech transcription
• Text recognition for boardwork, handouts, and handwritten notes
• AI-extracted key points and generated flashcards, with each card linked back to its source
• Daily review and exam-prep plans scheduled along a memory curve
• Timetable import and lecture management
• Importing or sharing external audio files and saving them to your study records
• Siri shortcuts, widgets, and Live Activities for hands-free recording
• Local and synced record management where supported

3. Accounts and Access

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for activities that occur under it. You must provide accurate information and use only authorized access methods.

4. Your Content

You retain ownership of the recordings and other content you create in SKIPPD. You grant us a limited right to host, process, and transform that content only as necessary to provide features such as transcription, text recognition, key-point and flashcard generation, syncing, and history display.

You are responsible for making sure you have the right to record, import, upload, or process any content and for obtaining any notice or consent required by law — including the rules your school, institution, or instructor sets for recording class.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the service for unlawful, abusive, or deceptive purposes
• Record or process content without required notice or consent
• Attempt to interfere with, reverse engineer, or misuse the product
• Upload harmful content or overload the service

6. Service Availability and Changes

We may update, improve, suspend, or change parts of SKIPPD at any time. Some features depend on third-party providers and network availability, so service quality or response times may vary.

7. AI Output and Accuracy

Transcripts, recognised boardwork, key points, and flashcards are generated with automated systems and may contain mistakes. Review important outputs before relying on them for exams, coursework, or other significant decisions, and defer to your instructor and course materials.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the service if these Terms are violated, if your use creates risk for other users or the platform, or if we are legally required to do so.

9. Limitation of Liability

SKIPPD is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service or from inaccurate AI-generated output.

10. Subscriptions and Billing

SKIPPD offers auto-renewable subscription plans. When you purchase a subscription, your App Store account will be charged at the price shown for the selected plan. Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date.

You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your App Store account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you will retain access to subscription benefits until then.

Unused credits from a subscription period do not carry over after cancellation or expiry. We do not offer refunds for unused portions of a subscription term, except where required by applicable law.

Plan upgrades take effect immediately, with the App Store crediting the unused portion of your current subscription on a prorated basis. Switching directly to a lower-priced plan is not supported: to downgrade, please cancel your current subscription in your App Store account settings and subscribe to the desired plan after it expires.

In addition to subscriptions, SKIPPD offers one-time credit packs as consumable in-app purchases. Credit packs are charged to your App Store account once and do not renew. Credits are added to your account after the store confirms the purchase.

Credits from subscriptions, monthly grants, and top-up packs may have validity periods and expire as shown in the app. Once issued, credits from credit packs are non-refundable except where required by applicable law.
